The GameStick is a video game console that was funded through Kickstarter raising stage and debuted for retail release on October 29, 2013.  The system was initially founded by Jasper Smith, who then brought aboard Anthony Johnson and Luke Lam to complete the core team.

Like the OUYA, GameStick is designed to be an open gaming system.  Built upon a modified version of the Andoid 4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system, the system promises to open up the living room to the expansive indie market.

The console itself is extremely small, approximately the size of a USB flash drive.  This device, housed within the wireless Bluetooth controller, plugs into the HDMI port to develop the portable game experience to your big screen TV.  An Amlogic 8726-MX powers the system, with 1GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB of internal Flash Storage.  Wi-Fi 802.11 b\g\n is included.
